Éric Kambale Goma

Partner researcher and member of the steering committee

Eric Kambale Kwiraviwe served as Director of Cooperation at the University of Goma from 2021 to 2023, and subsequently as Chief of Staff to the Rector.

He works as a member of the Steering Committee for the Psycavi Observatory (Co-researcher for the University of Goma) and actively participates in the annual evaluation of progress indicators related to the observatory's objectives, budget monitoring, policy adoption, and the appointment of the co-director.

An independent researcher and analyst, after graduating with a degree in International Public Law from the Free University of the Great Lakes Region (2019), he began working with organizations such as Vision Jeunesse Nouvelle (VJN Rwanda), Badilika, and GIZ to work with young people in the Great Lakes Region on peacebuilding and governance, focusing on the issue of traumatic identities in the region.

His research interests include peace, democracy, and participatory governance, with two short studies in particular:

  • Freedom of assembly and the need for national security
  • The legal status of citizen movements in modern democracies: a focus on Lucha in the DRC.
