Researcher
Anna Blumenthal
Dr. Anna Blumenthal is an expert on the neuroscience of memory. She uses behavioral measures and EEG to explore whether individual differences in memory encoding and recall put individuals at a higher risk of developing PTSD. Ultimately, she hopes to use this knowledge to create interventions.
Beyond her memory research, she uses community building and open-science to catalyze cognition research in Africa more broadly. In service of this, she co-founded the African Brain and Cognitive Development Network, and led a project with other Psycavi members to create ZolaBongo, an open-source app for collecting data on tablets without internet.
