    Each of our studies focuses on psychological health. We provide significant contributions to the development of a rich pool of knowledge in the rapidly expanding research areas of human cognition and trauma.

Joining the Psycavi Observatory as a new member or researcher

New members joining the Observatory may have one of the following statuses:

  1. Associate Researcher:

    a. Candidates from Global South countries (low- or middle-income countries) must hold a master's degree and have published at least two scientific articles.

    b. Candidates from Global North countries (high-income countries) must hold a doctorate (Ph.D.).

    c. Associate researchers must conduct scientific projects related to the Observatory's research areas. These projects may or may not be funded by the Observatory, but must have been evaluated scientifically and ethically by Psycavi's management. At least one research project by associate researchers must involve active collaboration with a regular researcher from the Observatory or have been supported through the Observatory's calls for projects.

    d. An associate researcher may become a regular researcher if their application is approved by the steering committee. They then become eligible to join the scientific committee and/or hold a co-directorship position at the Observatory.

To apply as an associate researcher, candidates must send to psycavi@ulaval.ca:

  • A cover letter presenting their research projects and explaining how their interests align with those of the Observatory (1.5 pages maximum).
  • A Curriculum Vitae including a list of publications, research activities, or relevant professional activities.

Observatory members may be researchers, students, and/or practitioners sharing the research interests of the Psycavi Observatory.

To apply as a member, individuals must send to psycavi@ulaval.ca:

  • A cover letter explaining how their interests align with those of the Psycavi Observatory (1 page maximum).
  • A Curriculum Vitae including a list of publications, relevant research or professional activities or, for students, their academic background.

The status of associate researchers and members is reviewed every two years.
