On August 18, our colleague Jacques Batenga, psychologist, coordinator at Heal Africa, and researcher at the Observatoire Psycavi, received an honorary diploma from CAFED (Collectif des Associations Féminines pour le Développement). This recognition was presented to him by healthcare professionals in North Kivu in acknowledgment of the courage and dedication of the doctors and specialists working in Goma and the surrounding area.
Since joining Heal Africa in 2012, Jacques Batenga has worked tirelessly to ensure that mental health services are integrated into primary healthcare, particularly in cases involving gender-based violence.
Congratulations, Jacques!
